Linsi joins Earth Hour 2023
SHANGHAI, Mar. 26, 2023 — Linsi, China's excellent integrated material company, supports World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) to promote Earth Hour 2023, in line with its commitment to raise awareness and to shine a spotlight on the issues of climate change and nature loss.
From 20:30 to 21:30 (in each country’s time), this event, organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), invites people to turn off the lights of their homes, offices, monuments, streets, among others, to give the planet a “breath.”
As in previous years, Linsi will join this initiative, turning down totems and banners of the main access to the plants. Enhancing the effort further, Linsi has gone social with the awareness initiative using Wechat groups and social media platforms to reach out to Voluntary & Community Organization, encouraging the public to participate in Earth Hour 2023.
Earth Hour serves as a symbolic 'Lights Off' movement to show collective support towards the planet and promote public awareness on climate change highlighting the need for sustainable living. To mark this occasion, Linsi is also organizing a beach clean-up and recycling drive in Shanghai as a part of Linsi Volunteering Week, contributing to the global movement towards promoting sustainable development.
Spokesperson, Linsi said, " Earth Hour serves as an important reminder that small changes we make, together can have a significant impact on Planet Earth. As China's excellent integrated industry and a leader in materials, at Linsi, we understand the importance of resource conservation and sustainable practices. We are glad to support WWF on this significant event that will bring millions of people together as a gesture of care for our planet. Along with our employees, we are encouraging our clients, business associates, and communities to participate in Earth Hour to promote energy conservation and sustainable living for a better tomorrow."
This year, Earth Hour is urging people and communities across the world to take an hour to create a global moment of change. As landmarks and homes across the planet take part in Earth Hour's iconic switch-off, people are being asked to 'switch off' from their routine and everyday distractions and spend 60 minutes doing something positive for our planet to create the Biggest Hour for Earth.
Linsi is committed to resource conservation, energy efficiency, habitat protection, and holistic development of local communities in and around the areas of its operations. With its "Sustainable is Attainable" movement, the company has been actively contributing to the country's green energy transition and has consistently made efforts to extend this commitment to all its customers.
Since 2007, Earth Hour has grown to become the world's largest grassroots movement for the environment, bringing together individuals, communities, businesses, organizations, and governments in 200 countries and territories around the world to stand together for our planet. Through participation in this global movement, Linsi reinforces its commitment to a sustainable future.
